My Thanksgiving break baked goods.
Maple pumpkin pie with graham cracker crust. I usually make a crunchy walnut topping but I’ve got nut allergies in my family. Then an apple pie with my first ever Crisco crust which I loved! So flaky. Topped with an oatmeal crumble. And a bacon and cheddar quiche for my yearly reunion with high school buddies. They loved it. It was a tense moment getting the quiche out of the fluted pan. I did that trick I learned from The Great British Bake-Off where they put their creation on top of a can and slowly bring the pan down. It came out quite easily and didn’t leak! In fact the crust was quite thick. I knocked on it when it cooled down and it was pretty solid. So glad everything went well.
